Citibank Plane Crashes Under Pressure from Obama Administration!
As mentioned earlier this week, the CitiBank purchase of a $50 Million Dollar Corporate Jet, was drawing quite a bit of unwelcome attention! At the Huffington Post this morning, it looks like the Obama Administration took notice and Told Citibank to Ditch the Plane Plans, as it sends the wrong message to taxpayers!
Lets Welcome the US Government into our Homes
Sure, this may be the first example of the Obama administration standing up to corporate powerhouses and flexing its muscle, but what if they don’t stop there? What if they start telling every business or Individual who receive some form of federal support, how to run their own ships? Do they have the right? Do we really want them to?
After they see they can dictate how businesses run… you can bet they will be in our homes, criticizing our household spending next!

The only reason any government official stepped in was because we are all watching. They do not care about waste since they waste every penny they can get their hands on. If they would treat all this money and other money that they get from us taxpayers as if were their own and it could run out, then they would think twice before they spent on BS projects that were not needed(there are many). It does not take a rocket scientist to see that we as citizens are hurting and as a nation we are in trouble yet the Government spends and spends like there is no end in sight on things like the light rail that gets very little ridership and yet the cities continue to try to find ways of spending more so that another city does not get the funds. I have heard teachers and principals in schools say that they have to order what they have budgeted so that they will get the same or more funds next year. The reason should be because they need the materials and not so they do not loose the funds… just my rant and take on the Govco spending as a whole…

If there is one positive outcome from this mortgage business is that we ARE forced to pay closer attention to where money is going.
I’d say there is a huge difference between telling a megacorporation that buying a 50 million dollar plane they probably don’t need anyway and telling Mr or Ms small business owner they can’t buy 200 pencils and still receive funding. Even if the scale seems comparable.
I agree there’s plenty of waste but I really don’t think the current business environment would allow the government to micro-manage small business expenditures.
